Ok, 1 person voted for more than a week late. If I find out who you are . . . grrrrr!!! Lilah was 9 days late.
A huge cloud of witnesses is all around us. So let us throw off everything that stands in our way. Let us throw off any sin that holds on to us so tightly. Let us keep on running the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1

CROP Walk Article
Colorado can sure dish out the weather. The change in weather today did not harden the hearts of many people at Clement Park. Today was the annual Foothills CROP Walk. The CROP Walk is made up of teams from different churches and schools not to mention individuals. CROP Walks are done in many communities and funds are raised to support Church World Service. Church World Services feeds hungry families throughout the world, including the US. A percentage of the funds raised goes to support soup kitchens and food banks here in the local Denver area.
The CROP Walk is a 5K walk. Or a couple laps around the lake at Clement Park. I admittedly only did one lap, but since I am 34 weeks pregnant that counts as 2 laps right? Walkers ask friends and family to support them, therefore, raising money for Church World Services.
There were quite a few who decided to walk at home or in the gym on a treadmill, but the weather today did not deter all the walkers. My team, Faith Lutheran Church, was dwindled from a mighty 70 walkers into the teens. Yet, there were still quite a few brave souls willing to brave the cold and wind. Regardless of the weather everyone was in high spirits. The sun even came out as we began the walk. Hopefully next year the weather will hold out a little better.

CROP Walk update
Well, the Crop Walk is this Sunday and I am at 65% of my fundraising goal. Not to shabby! So, if you think it is crazy for a woman who is 34 weeks pregnant to do a 5k walk, well, you are probably right. This crazy woman not only signed up to walk a 5k with 2 small children aka pulling a wagon. The high Sunday is going to be 40° F. Brrr! I was thinking about turning in my money and skipping the walking part. But I volunteered to make 50 brownies for our team and take pictures of the event for the paper. I am happy to report that the last batch of brownies is in the oven and with any luck I will remember to charge my camera battery.

No Mammoth in 2007
I just heard some very upsetting news. There will be no lacrosse this season. :-( I can not believe this. It came as a total shock to me. Apparently, there could be no agreement made between owners and players as far as pay goes for this year. We just found out as we were checking on our final payment for our season tickets. Now we are hoping to get our money back as it sounds like they are going to try to get us to switch to other Pepsi Center events. With the baby coming though I think we would rather just have the money. The up side is that at this point there seems to be no reason not tot think there won’t be a season next year. Although, I am saddned by the news, we will remain fans in the coming seasons... go mammoth!

Proof I love my husband
Now if you have met me you know I like sports. I like football, basketball, hockey, and I LOVE Lacrosse, but . . . I HATE baseball (and golf). As I am sure you know, unless you live in a cave, both the Cubs and the Rockies made it into the playoffs. So, it has been baseball, baseball, and more baseball in this house for what 3 weeks now? Now the Rockies are in the World Series, which don’t get me wrong that is GREAT!! BUT this means another 4-7 baseball games in my near future. GO ROCKIES!!

CROP walk
Hunger is an issue that has become very important to me and I have decided to get involved! The kids and I are walking in the CROP Hunger Walk and we need your help.
Please consider making a donation to our efforts. The money raised in this year’s CROP Hunger Walk, and throughout the year, will help those in need of food and shelter. Your donation supports programs that work to solve this world-wide challenge.
You can help me by making a donation online. Click on the link to the left and you will be taken to our personal donation page where you can make a secure online credit card donation.

I’m really looking forward to participating in this year’s walk. This will be our second year participating in the CROP walk. It is just a few small steps (very small this year!) that we can take to help world hunger.

Hiking at Roxbrough Sate Park
Last week my friend Tami and I took the kids on what ended up being a long hike, but we had fun until Zak growled and said Cat, then we booked it out of there. It was a nice cool day and for the most part the kids were good.
